Viture Beast: a bright panel on a leash

Viture’s Beast is $549 display glasses: 1,920 × 1,200 per eye, 58° field, 1,250 nits micro-OLED, dimmable lenses, picture size and position you can actually set. Audio is not a throwaway. It talks USB-C to a laptop, a phone, a Steam Deck; Switch 2 needs an adapter.

The catch is the same catch every Beast-class pair still has. It is tethered. It is heavier on the nose than an Xreal One Pro. There is no built-in diopter, so prescription is extra glass or contacts. The tint does not go cinema-black; light leaks in a bright room. CNET still put 8.4 and an Editor’s Choice on it in April 2026. That score is “best panel in this awkward class,” not “forget the cable.”

Desk buy rule: if you already live on a USB-C handheld and want a private 120-inch for cuts and playback, this is the current peak brightness argument. If you want all-day glasses with no wire and your own Rx in the hinge, wait. We will not call it a favorite until a pair sits on a Presplay face through a night edit.
